Crysis 3 On Pentium 4 HT 3 GHz AMD ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 GB DDR3

Testing Crysis 3 On Pentium 4 HT And HD 5450 GPU

Every gamer was preparing their PC for the latest Crysis sequel- Crysis 3. When crysis was released on 2007 , the king of GPU's then- nVidia 8800GT 768MB struggled to maintain 30 FPS on ultra settings. With the lastest Crysis 3 on stage . Lets see how it will perform on a extremely low end P4 device.

Test machine:

  • Intel Pentium 4 630 HT Clocked at 3GHz (overclocked with setfsb to 3477MHz)
  • 1024MB RAM DDR2
  •  Sapphire AMD ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3
  • Intel 102ggc2 motherboard
  • 1024*768 resolution
  • Low System specs on Crysis 3 Graphics Settings

Running:

Observations-
  • Takes  1min and 34 seconds for welcome screen to appear
  • Intro video plays at 450 fps
  • All graphics settings minimized to low
  • first mission starts after 23minutes and 13seconds of starting the level
  • the games goes unresponsive and exits with an error
Hence Crysis 3 is unplayable on Pentium 4 system. This very own system ran Crysis 2 at a low but appreciable FPS. Crysis 3 raised the performance bar and older systems are getting punished. You have to look for a decent dual or quad core CPU and a powerful GPU to get C3 to dance on your system.

Doing it for the sake of fun.!!!
