How To Reduce Game Lags On Nexus 7 And Other Devices

Nexus 7- one of the prime figure of Google's Nexus series. Equipped with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and boasts of one of the best quality and performance based specs. However even these high end android devices faces lag on certain games. This can be quite annoying to players, thinking why they spend such money on these devices. 

Ever wonder what’s up with the lag seen from time to time on your Android device while using certain apps or playing a variety of games? Developer lambgx02 likely cared a bit more than you, as it was bothering him enough to try to find the root cause of the issue so that he could attempt to fix it. He discovered that with a “very limited entropy pool” your device lags, as it waits for the kernel to generate more random data. Confused? Yeah, most of us probably are. In short, he may have found a solution to the problem. There is now a new fix for Nexus 7 devices to help reduce game lag.

Well an answer to the problem is using Seeder Entropy v1.1 (latest Update). This Software can easily  downloaded for your android device

Here is the technical explanation from lambgx02;

• So, I was experiencing significant lag as we all do from time to time, and decided I was going to get to the bottom of it.

• After tracing and debugging for hours, I discovered the source of 90% of Android’s lag. In a word, entropy (or lack thereof).

• Google’s JVM, like Sun’s, reads from /dev/random. For all random data. Yes, the /dev/random that uses a very limited entropy pool.

• Random data is used for all kinds of stuff.. UUID generation, session keys, SSL.. when we run out of entropy, the process blocks. That manifests itself as lag. The process cannot continue until the kernel generates more high quality random data.
• So, I cross-compiled rngd, and used it to feed /dev/urandom into /dev/random at 1 second intervals.

• There is a (theoretical) security risk, in that seeding /dev/random with /dev/urandom decreases the quality of the random data. In practice, the odds of this being cryptographically exploited are far lower than the odds of someone attacking the OS itself (a much simpler challenge).
• This may adversely affect battery life, since it wakes every second. It does not hold a wakelock, so it shouldn’t have a big impact, but let me know if you think it’s causing problems. I can add a blocking read to the code so that it only executes while the screen is on. On the other hand, many of us attribute lag to lacking CPU power. Since this hack eliminates almost all lag, there is less of a need to overclock, potentially reducing battery consumption.

Hence images appear less sharper and bigger. That's not much a thrill killer comparing to the phones in its range.You can be satisfied with that.L3 comes with Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread.However the UI isn't as impressive as TouchWiz, but looks almost similar to it. The huge plus is that it has an inbuilt 1GB internal memory and a 3.2MP camera.

Two or three years ago if you come to say about  Smartphones ,only one word will come to your mind-"NOKIA". Yes once nokia ruled every section of mobile phone technology. But with the taking up of Most popular operating system-"ANDROID" Samsung took a huge leap resulting in Famed Galaxy Series.However the same cannot be said about Nokia and "WINDOWS". 

Many Took the Android path like HTC, LG, ... Many are on a successful path.

Apple amd Samsung are fighting out each other for proving their dominance in Smartphone Market. Each Year a New Galaxy Phone is released and is well received. Same goes to the Apple iPhone series. Both are getting filled in all the news and talks..... But wait where is LG???

Many know that LG has released their android based series of phones termed as OPTIMUS. But not much publicity is gained by optimus these days.Its like optimus is slowly vanishing in the ever lasting dog fight between Apple and Samsung. This seems to be the main problem-Android powered Samsung and iOS based iPhones ruling the top since they are always at extreme competition in style, performance,  appearance, and cheekiness. As the competition toughens LG will eventually loose grip and fall into the abyss.Optimus hasn't yet got that "Kick" which enables it to go forward. Every year people know a new Galaxy / iPhone is coming, so anticipation is a big factor too. Very few only awaits for another Optimus, its really rare.

So unless LG changes their attitude on making chunky phones, there is no hope for them. I used LG Optimus E400 one of the entry level android phones and i didnt like how it appeared. I will prefer galaxy y since it is more stylish and sleeker than E400.

Production is going slow to meet up the requirements. I actually got my hands on one of them.

• A ARM11 366 MHz Processor? Are u kidding me? Its not even powerful enough for multitasking and many android apps. Even a Local Micromax Phone has way more processing power than Aakash.
• Next thing- i am annoyed with is the resistive touch screen. Its crap. Too unresponsive. Sometimes i have to strike very hard in order to Do things.
• After using for less than a hour it just heats up. Its a real fun killer.
• The battery isn't impressive. It Only gave me a 3 hours or less in many situations. Leading me to always carry the charger along with me. Frustrating for any user.
• Another negative is the absence of GPRS connectivity. If you are a student on a travel, you wont be able to access internet as it only supports WiFi.
• Also it is Android 2.2 Froyo and i don't think they will let you update to later versions.
• Android Market Place is absent on Aakash instead the installed GetJar. You will miss a lot of apps as getjar isn't that good with android apps.

I will show you how to unroot S3 swiftly without much ado.To unroot Galaxy S3, you need to Reset the Flash Counter and then manually flash stock ROM via Odin.

Lets Start....

Make sure you make a back up before doing this or else you will lose all your important data.

How to Unroot Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300

 

 

1. Install Samsung Kies if not already installed.

2. Go to download mode

by turning off the phone and then pressing Volume down+ Home button and then the power button

3. See if "Custom Binary Download" is "NO", if "YES" then proceed to step 5 if it says 1 count or something like that then go to next step.  

 

4.Go to this link and reset the binary counters. After resetting go back to download mode again.

5.You need the latest Galaxy S3 firmwares to flash it. Download it from here.

6. Extract the zip file to a safe location.

7. Download Odin 1.85 from here and run it.

8. Now connect your Galaxy S3 to your PC via USB cable. Odin should detect your phone and give a green light and you will see "Added" at the status box.

9. Click PDA and select .tar.md5 from the zip you extracted before.

10. Auto Reboot and F Reset Time are selected as default, dont change anything or you will end up bricking your phone.

11. Click Start and wait for Odin to display "PASS!" in green. Meanwhile don't do anything even if Odin is not responding.

12. Go to recovery mode by switching off the phone and then Volume Up+ Home and power button.

13. Use volume buttons to navigate and power button to select. Do a factory wipe, wipe cache and then do a reboot.

14. Check for the Super User App and if it's missing you have successfully unrooted your Galaxy S3.
